Villanova Student-Run Venture Pitches at College Demo Night in Philadelphia

On April 19th, Villanova and several other local universities sent students to pitch their ventures to Philadelphia’s startup community. Following a “lightning-round” format, each team had five minutes to pitch their businesses, then fielded questions from the audience afterwards.

Villanova was represented by “ShareHub, Ltd”, whose mission is to facilitate and encourage charitable ticket donations for sporting events, concerts, and more. The business will act as an online donation platform for corporations and individuals with excess tickets to be able to donate those tickets to well-deserving 501(c)(3) charities. After a successful donation, both parties involved have the opportunity to post about the transaction on the site’s centrally located newsfeed.

ShareHub was founded in 2016 by Peter Sollecito (VSB ’17); since beginning the business, Peter has onboarded two freshmen: John Harding III (COE ’20) and Nick Florio (COE ’20). As the venture is reaching a critical point in business development, the team is interested in finding an experienced legal advisor, as well as potential angel-investors.
