Entrepreneurial Journey Roundtable with Tom Christopoul

54-team-TomLast Friday afternoon over lunch, the ICE Institute hosted Tom Christopoul for a roundtable discussion on pursuing an entrepreneurial career. Christopoul had a wealth of experience to share, having co-founded 54Madison Partners and served as Chairman of GPS Partners and Rita’s Water Ice. Moreover, his work at a variety of companies, internationally and domestically, offered insights on the pros and cons of working at different organizations.

The event was limited to six students in order to create an intimate environment and ample opportunity for everyone present to participate. Ranging from freshmen to seniors, the students represented three different Villanova colleges and various perspectives on how to pursue entrepreneurship. Discussion varied from topics concerning how Christopoul’s professional journey played out, the differences between startups and established companies, and how to pursue a successful career without necessarily having a plan.

The ICE Institute is excited to have Christopoul engaged in Villanova’s entrepreneurship program and hopes to continue to foster entrepreneurship education with experienced professionals.
