Paul Santolla (CLAS ’15) and TriviaNote Take Home $1,000 at Pitch Competition

Congratulations to Villanova’s own Paul Santolla for winning $1,000 at “Sell it to the Sharks,” a competition that was a part of BucksMont BizCon. BucksMont Biz Con is a premier day-long conference for small-to-medium sized businesses in Bucks and Montgomery counties. As a part of this conference, four local start-ups were selected to pitch their ideas at “Sell it to the Sharks.” This is a similar concept to the popular show Shark Tank. The finalists had ten minutes to present their ideas and were vying for a cash prize. Paul pitched his company, TriviaNote, which is a note-taking platform that transforms notes into social study tools and trivia games.

One of the individuals behind the competition is alumnus William Shuhaibar (COE ’06). According to William, “we created the Bucks Mont Biz Con to help entrepreneurs reach their goals and achieve success. One of the most difficult parts about entrepreneurship is getting the funding to start your own business. That’s why I am happy that Paul walked away with a one thousand dollar prize to get his idea off the ground. We wish Paul all the best in creating a business that hopes to transform the education industry.”

Congratulations again, Paul. We can’t wait to see TriviaNote grow even more.
