The John F. Scarpa Center for Law and Entrepreneurship FINAL

Villanova University School of Law (VLS) announced today that John F. Scarpa, former Co-Chairman and Founder of American Cellular Network Corporation, and his wife, Jana, have committed $5 million for the naming of The John F. Scarpa Center for Law and Entrepreneurship. The Center serves as a vital resource for all Villanova Law students to gain wide-ranging academic and practical experience at the intersection of law and business, further aligning the educational experience with the demands of 21st-century practice.

In describing his passion for and dedication to entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Scarpa remarked, “We must foster an intuitive relationship between business and law because new job creation will come from innovators or the businesses they create. These innovators will energize an organization and give vision, purpose and passion. To quote Albert Einstein, ‘Logic will get you from A to B; imagination will take you everywhere.’”

He continued, “Through this Center and its initiatives, Villanova Law is creating a new generation of lawyers who will further integrate these two vital and interrelated fields. The work of these future lawyers will support and inspire a more dynamic business landscape.”
