17 Groups Present at Villanova Idea Bounce

IMG_1519This Tuesday, February 24, in a packed room in Bartley Hall the ICE Center held another successful Idea Bounce where creative and innovative ideas were presented.  Seventeen different groups, consisting of Villanova students, alumni and a high school student, were given two minutes to pitch their latest ideas and entrepreneurial projects to a room filled with fellow students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and local community members.  Some of the many ideas presented at the event were bringing cupcakes to the Villanova campus, a Chipotle delivery service, aerial cinematography using drones, a one for one backpack program that donates a backpack and educational services to children in Columbia for every backpack purchased, a stylus that functions as a pen, flashpoint or laser pointer, and attaches to your phone, and a mobile application that helps you locate your car.  The ideas presented where at various stages of development, some were in their budding stages while others were already in the product development and implementation process.

After the ideas were pitched, ICE Center held a reception with delicious food catered by Flip and Bailey’s.  At the reception presenters were able to talk with fellow presenters and audience members about their ideas and share more about their progress and future plans.
