Villanova Entrepreneurs Win Big at Pitch Day

VSB Pitch Day 2014On April 24 finalists from the Villanova Student Entrepreneurship Competition (VSEC) presented to a panel of judges as part of the University’s “Pitch Day,” an annual event coordinated by the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship (ICE Center). The teams were made up of a wide variety of students across all colleges at the University. Teams were given just 15 minutes to pitch their idea, and were judged on feasibility, innovation, and team chemistry and cohesion.

Scott Glosselin ’16 CLAS and Mary Kate Hamilton ’16 CON won the first place trophy and a $5,000 cash prize for their idea “Bunkalow.” Their product is covering designed for college students living on campus, providing an affordable, aesthetic and useful product to small-space dwellers.
