ICE Center IdeaBounce® on February 25, 2014

IMG_0797On Tuesday, February 25th, the Ice Center hosted another successful IdeaBounce® event. Students from across campus (including engineers, business majors, nurses, and many more) were able to submit their ideas for new innovative and creative products.  Thirteen ideas were selected to deliver short, two-minute elevator pitches at the event.

After these groups pitched their ideas, students and faculty were given the chance to come forward and share their ideas as a part of an ‘open mic’.  Several members of the audience took advantage of this opportunity.  Product pitches ranged from new restaurant ideas, food trucks, mobile applications for iPhones and Androids, and websites.  Once the pitches were completed, the ICE Center hosted a reception catered by Flip and Bailey’s where students and faculty were encouraged to ask questions about the products that they had just heard about.

The ICE Center will be hosting Pitch Day on April 24.  At Pitch Day, there will be prizes for the group that the judges feel has the best entrepreneurship idea.  Presenters will also have a chance to get feedback about their product from the judges after the event.  Please join us for the annual Celebration of Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship at Villanova as a part of Pitch Day.
